Top Streamed Games

+Fortnite: Fortnite is the hottest game on the market right now both for consumers who play the game and those who stream it as well. The overall concept of Fortnite is that it is a Battle Royale shooter game. You start the game with 99 other players and your goal is to be the last one alive. The game allows you to collect materials and build to gain advantages on opponents as well. There are many who play Fortnite, and the range of ages span from young children all the way through older adults. This game has appealed to the masses, and it is by far the most watched game in the streaming community. Twitch ranks the games popularity based on the amount of viewers that it has at a given moment. Anytime I have ever been on twitch, my personal experience is that Fortnite has been in the top spot.

+First Person Shooters (FPS): These games include popular titles such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo and more. These games are unique in that there are generally different types of game moodes where your objective changes by the game. These games allow for you to play solo or with parnters to complete the objectives of any given game mode. These games are very popular in the streaming community as well as the world of E-Sports. Streamers typically do very well when they stream a FPS.

+Role Playing Games: Role playing games are also very popular. Open world concepts have a huge appeal to many players as well. Minecraft nearly took over the world of gaming, and was a major top streamed game. The Elder Scrolls is another game in this area that does quite well. Many of you have likely heard of World of Warcraft or WoW-- this game has re-defined the world of gaming. So many people love these games and those who choose to stream these games tend to have large levels of success.

+Sports Franchises: Sports games have a big place in the world of gaming and streaming. Madden, NBA2k and MLB franchises have a big strong hold on the sports market. There are so many ways to stream a sports game, but many tune in when the streamer is working through the story or player mode of the game. Franchise or season mode is another popular option where a streamer will show the decisions they are making in the season to lead their team to a title.

Top Streamers

+Ninja: If you know anything about Twitch streaming, you have likely heard of Ninja. Ninja is the top streamer in the world. He claims in his streams to consistently have one hundred thousand plus subscriptions (at a 5 dollar average per subscriber) and he consistently gets donations from his following. When you tune into one of his streams, it is not uncommon to be viewing the content with over 100,000 other viewers. Ninja brings a lot of skill to the table as he was a Halo pro champion in his early gaming experience. His main game to stream is Fortnite, and he holds many different tournaments and events for this game.

+NickMercs: NickMercs is another growing streamer in the world of Twitch. He is somewhat of a rare find, as he plays his games on the Sony Playstation 4. Many of the pro streamers play their games on PC, and Nick is one of the few exceptions. Nick brings in close to 30,000 subscriptions on a monthly basis according to his claims on stream. Nick is also a Fortnite streamer, but got his initial fame from competing as a pro in Gears of War.

Both of these streamers have a strong community that come out and watch them by the masses. They support them with large numbers of subscriptions and donations, and because of that both of the streamers net in the millions each year. This is their career, and they are the best of the best in the world of game streaming.

Stream Tip:

My main stream tip is to focus on the content. Have a plan, and focus on content. If you do this, the viewership will eventually increase to higher and higher levels. When I have free time I like to go and check out other streams. The main thing I see is people who do not seem organized and they do not seem to be fully committed to their content that they are creating. This shrinks the viewer experience. When finding a streamer you love, you need to assess what they do that you like. What could you change in your stream to incorporate those elements. Streaming is a process and it usually does not happen overnight. Stay strong and committed and you CAN make it!
